The INN shipped with Debian Sarge/i386 limits CNFS buffers to 2 GB each.

If you want to put these buffers on raw devices you might run into a
limitation of the kernel. The device naming scheme of Linux 2.6.x allows
only 15 partitions on SCSI and SATA devices, resulting in a maximum
spool of less than 30 GB per disk. Fortunately LVM (Logical Volume Manager)
provides a workaround.

Still I would prefer much larger buffers.
