We are planning a wireless cloud (fully IPV6), which will have a domain name.
The ideal system would accept association from members, and name their node
with a predetermined virtual name in the domain, so they can easily be
identified and nefarious activities easily traced.

Apparently RAdvD can't name nodes in a domain (stateless) and I'd like to
avoid DHCP6, as these are embedded system nodes, and resources are limited.
So how to name the nodes? Is dnsmasq up to a cloud of say, 500 nodes, and
has anyone used it to name nodes?

Another aspect is that I am trying to demote the role of the cloud gateway to
be just essentially a bridge. This means for each node, a global IP +
firewall, name cache, web object cache, apache, etc. So where would
something like RAdvD or dnsmasq properly go, in a no-NAT IPV6 topology? Is
there a 'best practice' to centrally administer a decentralized topology,
including authentication, updating image firmware, and node-naming?
