Hello all,

In January, 1.0rc1 was released.  I didn't get around to doing the 
final 1.0 push then.   Since then the code has improved a bit.

I've made a 1.0rc2 release in the interest of shaking out any possible 
bugs that may surface or may have crept in (also tagged in CVS):

My goal is to release 1.0 around the end of October.
